Prizes and Awards
The 3rd Neuroergonomics Conference 2021 (NEC21) will offer a series of awards to the authors, reviewers and participants of the conference.
Best Paper Award 
will be awarded to the best written submission. Submissions are pre-selected on the basis of reviewer scores and their camera-ready versions will be reviewed by an independent jury of established researchers with no conflict-of-interests.
Young Investigator Award 
will be awarded to the best written submission, where the first author is a student (i.e., PhD candidate or lower). Submissions are pre-selected on the basis of reviewer scores and their camera-ready versions will be submitted to an independent jury of established researchers with no conflict of interests.
Grand Challenge: Passive BCI 
will be awarded to the team that provides the best solution to algorithm to decode mental workload from EEG signals on a new unseen session, from a training data set comprising several sessions of individuals performing a standardized test (i.e., MATB) often used for personnel selection. Best Talk
will be awarded to the best presentation of a written submission. Candidates will be selected on the basis of pre-recorded talks and submitted to a jury of established researchers with no conflict of interests.
Best Poster
will be awarded to the best poster presentation of a written submission. Candidates will be selected on the basis of pre-recorded talks and submitted to a jury of academic peers with no conflict of interests.
Best Reviewer(s)
will be awarded to reviewers who are deemed to have provided highly constructive comments that improved the final written submission. Candidates are first nominated by their reviewees and subsequently selected by a jury of academic peers with no conflict of interests.
